Camperdown Commons is a community revitalisation project and urban oasis located at 31A Mallett Street in Sydney's Inner West, situated 4km from the CBD between Camperdown Park and Pidcock Street. Developed by a subsidiary of Canterbury-Hurlstone Park RSL Club on the former Camperdown Bowling Club site, it features a variety of indoor and outdoor event spaces set against the backdrop of a working urban farm operated by Pocket City Farms.
Key event spaces and capacities include: - The Dining Room: A light-filled indoor space with panoramic garden views and windows overlooking the grounds, suitable for up to 180 seated or 300 standing guests. It can accommodate a band, DJ, or dance floor.
- The Pavilion: A space providing both undercover and outdoor areas overlooking the farm, ideal for ceremonies or receptions with a capacity for 80 seated or 100 standing guests.
- The Sun Room (or Common Room): An intimate indoor-outdoor space with an undercover deck, suitable for up to 60 seated or 80 standing guests.
- The Yard, Deck, and Patio: Versatile outdoor and covered areas for casual celebrations, with the Deck and Patio serving as all-weather options. These combined spaces can accommodate up to 250 standing guests.
- The Courtyard: A paved outdoor area suitable for 80 standing guests.The venue offers seasonal event menus with options for canapes, set menus, or share-style dining. On-site amenities include a dedicated events team, a kids' play space, a restaurant (Acre), and the Farm Cafe. The site is accessible by public transport, located a 10-minute walk from Newtown Train Station, and offers on-site and bike parking. Facilities are pet-friendly and feature live music on Friday nights and Sundays.
